Provide on-call snow removal at the Corporate Hangar Complex at Dulles Airport. The Seasonal Snow Removal Worker will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Provide on call labor to help with snow removal efforts as needed throughout the winter season.
Labor could include the operation of plow trucks, skid steers (Bobcat), and snow blowers once properly trained.
Mobilize equipment for snow removal when snow is forecast for accumulations in excess of one inch within three hours.
Continually remove snow in excess of one inch from ramps and taxi lane to provide safe operable conditions for 24 hour per day, 7 day per week operation.
Remove snow from parking lots, sidewalks and roads whenever conditions warrant in order to provide safe operable conditions.
Ice on the taxi lane, access road, ramps, parking lots, and sidewalks will be treated by broadcast spreading of urea as requested by tenants, to maintain safe operable conditions 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Must be willing to work nights, weekends and overtime during emergencies and winter storm conditions.
Must be willing to work out-of-doors in all weather conditions.
Experience operating snow removal equipment, e.g. plow trucks, snow blowers, bobcats, etc.
Fluent English reading and writing skills to be able to read and understand guidance for day to day work requirements.
Must maintain a valid United States driver’s license.
May be required to maintain a security clearance airport authority. May be required to maintain physical standards required for the area of assignment.
