  • Overview

    Louis Berger has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Project Manager to join it's Federal Program & Construction Management team. Responsibilities include:

     

    • Manage major programs including formulation of project requirements, project requirements refinement in engineering terms, submittal of documents, execution of program and project designs, project documentation, and project completion
    • Provide advice and explain recommendations or solutions to modify standard practices, equipment, devices, processes, and techniques and resolve a wide variety of complex construction problems
    • Develop design and construction schedules for complex land development projects
    • Devise, customize, operate, oversee, and/or evaluate specialized information management systems, processes, and applications pertaining to the management of construction projects
    • Generate concept evaluation plans, execution plans, test plans, event directives, control plans, information briefings, staffing plans, point papers, planning objectives and milestones, and other supporting documents
    • Provide Technical oversight and direction
    • Interpret the interrelationships of complex technical functions and translate esoteric requirements into specific facility needs

    Qualifications

    • Must maintain US DoD Secret Clearance
    • Four (4) – Year Degree and/or professional certification in Community Planning, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture
    • Knowledge of and skill related to the development of executive level correspondence and the management of programs involving executive level participants.
    • Knowledge of the mission, organization, functions, capabilities, administration, and operations of the Marine Corps in general and the Okinawa Consolidation program.
    • Working knowledge of horizontal/ vertical construction, architecture, land development, utility systems, construction management, space allocation, functional layout, design development, construction means and methods, and US and Japanese construction practices.
    • Knowledge and skill in construction program assessment techniques related to resource allocation, risk management, performance metrics, and project execution.
    • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques to develop support deliverable criteria and metrics covering complex program mission and functions related to construction programs.
    • Broad knowledge of, and skills in applying, a wide range of engineering or architectural theory, concepts, principles, standards, and methods sufficient to determine, coordinate, and execute actions for a wide range of assignments.
    • Knowledge of project formulation including classification and categorization of work segregation for a diversity of requirements.
    • Ability to devise, customize, operate, oversee, and/or evaluate specialized information management systems, processes, and applications pertaining to the management of construction projects.
    • Skill to interpret the interrelationships of complex technical functions and translate esoteric requirements into specific facility needs.
    • Understand and adopt non-US-standard design and construction means and methods to meet unusual needs or special demands.
    • Act as a principal contributor on team-based projects or coordinate a team project and provide technical oversight and direction.
    • Knowledge of collateral equipment installation requirements, facility occupancy use requirements, and post occupancy facility evaluation requirements.
    • Knowledge of military facility design, planning, MILCON programming or actual construction of military structures.
    • Skill in preparation, presentation, and evaluation of plans, designs, reports, and other correspondence.
    • Knowledge of the development of design and construction schedules for complex land development projects.
