  • Overview

    We are currently seeking a Pipeline Inspector II. 


    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Inspect the construction and rehabilitation of the water/sewer main lines
    • Inspect the service lateral connections
    • Inspect the relocation of water/ sewer lines
    • Inspection of sewer and manhole installation/rehabilitation
    • Ensure contractor compliance with plans and specifications.
    • Review plans for constructability and prepare comments.
    • Generating an Inspector’s Daily Report detailing jobsite activities
    • Performing construction quality control and reviews



    • The successful candidate will have the following:

      • High school diploma required. Technical degree a plus.
      • Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of pipeline inspection experience. Sewer experience should detail sewer main lining, sewer manhole lining, and replacement by excavation, and pipe bursting.
      • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and prepare written contract administration documentation, such as daily narratives (work reports), special inspection reports, daily time and material records, and document unit price work.
      • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written. Verbal communication includes with Resident Engineer, Contract Staff, and facility staff
      • Certifications and training that are looked upon favorably include; OSHA, Erosion and Sediment Control, Traffic Control Management, NICET, Geotech, NASSCO, etc.
      • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
      • Knowledge of E-Builder will be looked upon favorably.
      • Ability to work late or come in early as needed. Night and weekend shifts may be required.
      • Ability to Pass a WSSC Security Clearance Background Check
      • Valid Driver's license required.
