The MWR Specialist, under the general supervision of the Recreational Services Task Lead or Facility Task Lead, performs various recreation and support services for the fitness, community activity, linen, and food services programs for the residents of Al Jaber Air Base.
Performs Technical Inspection on FWT Government equipment/makes recommendations for new procurement to MWR Manager.
Receives, checks in, and issues materials and Government furnished property and supplies in support of Recreational, Learning and Fitness activities.
Conducts end of month inventory Government Furnish Equipment, minor property and consumables
Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting.
Plans, and assigns work of Other Country National workforce in support of MWR facilities
Ensures compliance with all aspects of client Performance Work Statement (PWS) to include Air Force Instructions, United States Air Force Central Command (AFCENT) Area of Responsibility (AOR) policy, local and host nation policies, guidance and requirements necessary to meet mission requirements.
Ensures policies and procedures, checklists, transition communications and continuity books are adhered during each shift.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to effectively and tactfully communicate with many levels of personnel in a variety of environments. May be working in a multicultural environment where knowledge of local customs and laws would be required.
MWR experience in the military is a plus
Must pass medical and dental physical requirements and be willing to live and operate in a military contingency environment.
Must meet the host nation employment standards and US Military operational security requirements.
Must possess or be able to obtain the following;
U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
A valid US driver's license.
A valid US passport.
Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).
An international driver's license and capability of obtaining a USAF flight line driver’s license.
Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent and minimum of two years of relative experience in a similar position supporting MWR operations.
